My Adventure with Shontel

Kia ora! I have just had a fantastic sleepover with Shontel.

I had a great time at her house.

While I was visiting with Shontel I got to play on the x-box 360, it was heaps of fun playing the games with Shontel. I also enjoyed watching Monster House.

On Friday we had roast chicken, roast spuds and mixed vegies for tea. It was very yummy.

On Saturday I got to meet Shonte's Aunty Pam. She was fantastic.

I had an amazing time hanging out with Shontel's Family.

My great holiday adventure with Affiah

I had a fantastic holiday with Afifah. We had a load of fun!

In the holidays we ....

• went camping in the backyard.
• jumped on the trampoline.
• went to the Mosque.
• had an ice block (yum, yum!).
• watched Little Einsteins.
• went to Invercargill.
• went to ski. (I saw snow for the first time this winter.)
• played at Moana Pool.

It was a very busy holiday. The highlight of the holidays was celebrating Afifah's sisters birthday. She turned 5 years old and starts school on the first day of term 3. The birthday party was lots of fun.

The School Holidays are here...

Wow! Can you believe that the school holiday's are here already. I am going to spend these school holidays with Afifah. I look forward to telling you all about my holiday with Afifah and her family when I get back to school next term.

A Weekend with Onawa

A Weekend with Keira

Kia ora,

This weekend I was lucky enough to go home with Keira. Keira and I had a great time playing together. I really enjoyed trying chocolate porridge for the first time. Keira gave me a good wash this weekend as I beginning to smell too much like a wolf. We went out for lunch to McDonalds as a treat. I also got to go to their friend Mitch's house. It was great playing on the computer and and meeting their big grey cat called Big Boy.

On Sunday I went for a walk with Coco the dog, Keira and her Dad. We also played board games and had a really nice dinner.

A Weekend with Alex

Kia ora,

It was great to go to Alex's house this weekend. I really enjoyed hanging out with Alex and his little brother Eli. I got to sleep over in the lounge on Friday and Saturday night which was heaps of fun. It was great to be able to lie in front of the fire and watch DVDs. They have a new dog called Daisy and it was great to meet her.

A Weekend with Tyla

Hey there!

Wow! What a weekend I just had with Tyla. She was so excited that I was there and I had such a good time with Tyla and her family.

I really enjoyed meeting Tyla's Nana who was visiting and going to the hospital to meet the new baby girl in their family, Olivia.

I was glad they had a well stocked pantry for my visit.

A Weekend with Ethan

I have had an awesome weekend with Ethan and his family. I really enjoyed meeting his dogs. I liked watching tv and visiting their friends. My Weekend with Austen

Hey there!

I have just spend a great weekend with Austen. When I got to Austen's house on Friday I played a Shrek game on the playstation 2. I had macaroni and cheese for tea before heading off to bed.

On Saturday it was great spending time with Austen reading books (Austen is a great reader) and playing on the magna doodle.

This weekend I really enjoyed hanging out with Elmo. I love it when I get to make new friends.

My Weekend with Aaqeef

Wow! I just had a great weekend with Aaqeef and his family.

I had a fantastic time. I really enjoyed trying malaysian food, Aaqeef's mum is a great cook.

On Saturday we went to the Otago Farmers Market and I saw a fantastic bag pipe performance.

I enjoyed going to the Mosque this weekend too.

It was great to watch tv and play video games with Aaqeef and his friend.

My Weekend with Ariana

Hey there!

I just spent an awesome weekend with the Junior Learning Team's Star of the Week, Ariana.

Ariana and I played lots of fun games together all day Saturday.

On Sunday I walked to the Botanical Gardens with Ariana and her

family. At the gardens we ate hot chips and listened to jazz music

at the rotunda. I really enjoyed feeding the ducks and playing

in the

playground. After a fun day we went home on the bus.

My great holiday adventure with Alex

I went home on the last day of Term 1 with Alex.

I couldn't wait for the adventure to start.

During the holidays Alex and I had an easter egg hunt, went to the park, played at school, and looked

after Alex's aunties cat. I also had a great time bike riding with Alex and watching dvds on the couch. I

really enjoyed sleeping in the tent

with Alex in his lounge. We had an awesome time together!

On the last day of the holidays I was getting very exciting about going back to school to see what everyone else in the Junior Learning Team had been up to during the holidays.

My Weekend with Shontae

During the weekend I went to the playground with Shontae and her family to play.

We had fish 'n' chips for tea.

I had a great time at Shontae's house with her family.

My Weekend with Jodie

This weekend I got to go home with Jodie, and as luck would have it, she had big plans for the weekend!!!

The worst part was I had to get out of bed Saturday morning at 5:30am!!! After a big breakfast, we hit the road for Nasby to stay with their good friends, The Steward Family. The trip took about 1 1/2 hours, so at least I got some more sleep! We arrived about 10:30am. After morning tea we went off to Waipata for the annual ute muster. Yee haa! What fun. Mr Stewart entered his 1965 Ford and guess what? It won! Sharon took lots of photos.

On Sunday we had lunch in Ranfurly. I just wish i'd taken my bike because there were so many bikers out doing the rail trail. We spent the afternoon at the playground in Nasby and enjoying the Sun. The playground was really fun, I especially loved the slide. We met up with Mrs Jewis at the playground.

I also went fishing.

On Monday we had to pack up and head home. We stopped in Middlemarch for a late lunch, Yummy!

My Weekend with Rowan

My adventure started when Rowan's mum picked me up from school because Rowan was at home sick.

At Rowan's house I meet heaps of Rowan's toys. I really liked meeting Tikey the huge Tiger.

I got to play x-box, watch G-Force the movie, and play cars on the road mat with Rowan.

Then I went to Rowan's Nana and Poppa's place for the night. It was fun taking photos with Rowan and his Aunty Kirstyn.

My Weekend with Ms S

I had two awesome days with the Junior Learning Team!

On Thursday the 4th of March I went to the Portobello Aquarium to learn about rock pool creatures and their feature. Then we went onto Otakou Marae. I slept over at Otakou Marae with Pine Hill School, it was great fun at the Marae.

On Friday we went to Moana Pool and the students had a great time swimming. I was very tired after my sleepover and hoping for a nice quiet weekend. Ms Sutherland took me home with her for a rest.

On Saturday I had a long sleep-in followed by a long bath. I spent the rest of the day lying around, resting, and drying out.

On Sunday I went to Tunnel Beach. It was a good walk down but it was hard work hiking back up the hill. The view was amazing and I had heaps of fun on the beach. I found a chiton on the rock that looked like the one I saw at the Portobello Aquarium .

It was fun with Ms S but I can't wait to see the Junior Learning Team on Monday morning.

My Weekend with Arunnesh

I had an awesome weekend with my friend Arunnesh.

I went to the gardens to play, I rode a scooter and made a new friend called Teddy.

It was fun!

Wow!!!!

Wow! Today I saw something amazing. I saw Stripy go into a chrysalis. It was an amazing to witness the whole process as Stripy changed from a chubby caterpillar to a beautiful smooth chrysalis.

Week 2

This week the students were working hard to show Ms Sutherland and Miss Garthwaite what they could do. We started learning about the life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly. The students really impressed with Ms Sutherland with how well they were learning to follow the class routines.

This year we are a Health Promoting School and we have 'Fruit in School'. This we week for morning tea we had bananas and oranges. The oranges were super juicy and yummy. The students made a graph that showed which fruits which they like the best.

This year we are also a Duffy School and on Tuesday morning it was exciting to see what books the students selected for Term 1. This is a great way of getting more great books in our homes and promote reading. I love reading and I love hearing the stories Ms S reads the Junior Learning Team.

On Thursday evening we had a 'Welcome Back BBQ'. It was great to see so many families along to have tea together and talk about 2010 at Pine Hill School.

When we were walking around the classes at the 'Welcome Back BBQ' we noticed that Pixie was getting ready to go into a chrysalis to start turning in to a butterfly. Pixie hung in a fish hook shape all the time we were at school on Friday. On Monday when we got to school Pixie was in a beautiful chrysalis.



I got to go home with someone new this weekend and had a great time.

My Weekend with Laura

I had a great weekend with Laura at her house. I got to meet her bunny, a lamb, at cat and some goldfish. There are lots of cool animals at Laura's house. I had a great time.
